Association NATIONAL VOLUNTARY FOREST CERTIFICATION SYSTEM as part of the procedure for revision the standard announces and informs stakeholders about holding a public discussion of the second edition of the project of the revision standard of forest management according to the PEFC system UA SFM ST 02:2022 SUSTAINABLE FOREST MANAGEMENT. REQUIREMENTS
Public discussion officially begins on October 6, 2022 and will continue for 30 calendar days until and including November 4, 2022.
The revision concerns the expansion of the scope of the current standard UA SFM ST 02:2020 SUSTAINABLE FOREST MANAGEMENT. General Provisions (link). Draft of the revision standard UA SFM ST 02:2022 SUSTAINABLE FOREST MANAGEMENT. REQUIREMENTS establishes special requirements for plantations on forestry lands, as well as Trees outside Forests (TOF), growing on lands of all other categories, except forestry lands.
The second edition of the draft of the revision standard was developed taking into account the comments and suggestions of stakeholders provided during the first public discussion.
The text of the draft standard is available on the Association's website by link. We invite all stakeholders to discuss the standard and make suggestions for its improvement. Written responses should be sent by email to the address as follows: info@pefcukraine.com.
Comments and suggestions both to the updated elements of the standard, and to the standard and the process of its updating in general, please state (in the form of Appendix A) specifically and substantiated for each item, subsection, paragraph, appendix in the following sequence:
- on the feasibility of developing a standard;
- about the project as a whole;
- about the name of the standard;
- about the scope of the standard;
- about the standard structure;
- about individual sections, divisions, paragraphs, sub-paragraphs, paragraphs, and appendices of the standard.
